Truck bed carry rack

Have a short, short bed Dodge pickup and pull a BP (27BHSS Aerolite) and looking for a rack to carry kayaks. Does anyone have any experience good or bad that you can share? Thinking I want one with upper and lower bars ( like trusses) so I can carry fishing rods below the yaks. Thoughts?

Thanks all!

Scott

Any ladder rack should work for you. Will have to carry the kayaks high to sit above the cab. I have Yakima bars mounted just above the truck bed and bike carriers mounted on them. I carry bikes while camping. Kayaks would not work in my case.

Rack

Thanks pwise. Since I have the 5'6" bed trying to figure out if I need a rack that extends over the cab so I can push the yaks forward and don't have too much hanging out the rear of the bed. Don't want to get in to the nose of the TT on turns.

I'm looking for the same thing only for a Ford F-150 short bed. I also want to leave my bed cover in place. I have a 13' kayak so I'm thinking something with a rear rack that goes into the stake pockets and then a piece that will attach to the roof of the cab. If anyone knows of a brand and model that would work, I would appreciate the info.

Look at Trac-Rac. I have used them for years on my work trucks. They aren't cheap but they can be configured a lot of different ways and they make a cover that works with them.
