thermostat won`t read room temp

Friend has a Coleman-Mach digital thermostat #6636-3441 that reads the room temp as 0 degrees. Consequently the a.c. doesn't work. Any ideas?

when you switch the fan mode to on, does the fan come on? Does he have a Coleman AC? Send a picture... It looks like they make one for home and one for RV, the one for RV looks like it is specifically marked for RV.

When set to high the fan comes on. Does not seem to come on when on low. I know she hasn`t changed the thermostat and i have to confirm if the rooftop unit is Coleman Mach. She says the heater worked but not sure it read room temp. I`m guessing it didn`t but with the room reading 0 the heat would work. the picture thing is probably out of my expertize at this point lol.

I responded to this yesterday but I got the "not logged in" message and lost my post. I saw some people have had luck removing the fuse from the back of the control, waiting 5 minutes, and putting the fuse back in. If it is 00 (not just 0) then that's typically an indication of an electrical issue. Apparently these controls are somewhat sensitive to other electronics on the circuit.

The coach is a 2014 motor home. Coleman Mach thermostat and Coleman air conditioner. Unlikely either has been replaced since new. The digital thermostat reads....Room Temp 00. Not sure if it’s a bad thermostat not reading room temp or if it’s the common 00 error code. Hate to replace a $150 thermostat if’s something else. Have tried the fuse trick several times. No luck.

You might try calling, or emailing, Coleman for advice. rvpsupport@airxcel.com I can't seem to find a phone number, sorry. That is one expensive T'stat. I was able to replace mine with a residential unit but I know not everyone can do that.
