1. It's on the way home so why not visit?
2. We have family nearby that we plan to visit with.
3. I still want to add it to my collection of Park/Monument patches.

OK, we probably won't spend that much time there.
Thanks for the heads-up though.

2019 Camping

We’re newbies to the TT part of camping, and realizing it’s very different from tent camping. Our trips the first half of the year are all practice runs for a summer tour, so we have lots of 2019 camping on the agenda.

So far we have done trips close to home (pix below)
Santee lakes
Mission Bay RV

March 29th we’ll hit our favorite secret desert campground

May - Memorial Day weekend in Malibu

July - August touring the other coasts from the gulf, up through the outer banks to New England as beach bums and with tourist stops in New Orleans, Orlando, Washington DC, Manhattan and Niagara Falls.

Makes sense...

One thing I did find neat out there (at least for geeks like me)... east of the park on US-20/26, was this lone building way, way off in the distance by itself. Turned out to be EBR-1... the world's first nuclear power plant. It was up & running the town of Arco for over a week before they made it public.

If you're into that sorta thing, it's worth a visit.

Lobster run

Just added SALISBURY steak reservation campground on the Massachusetts/New Hampshire border for some gorging on lobster, clams and fresh seafood 24/7.

March, 10 days going to BEquinox which is the Los Angeles Burning Man event. April/May, Grand Canyon which will include a 23 day trip through the Canyon in my raft. Finally, 15 day trip to northern Nevada to participate at Burning Man for 10 days. I may not work but I do pay taxes.
