Slide out help

This weekend we purchased a 2000 38' 8" Dutchmen classic with 2 slide outs. One works great, the other doesn't. We tried to locate the manual function with no luck
Camper did not come with manual to tell us where it is. Also I can not find any decent manual online. All the ones I've found are VERY generic.
Also we do not know how to switch from electric use to propane.
If anyone can help with this it would be greatly appreciated.

Are you wanting to switch to propane from electric for the fridge?

No, the fridge is on electric. I wanted to use hot water heater via electric. Been told there should be a switch somewhere but I can't find one.

Only two locations, on the wall inside in the kitchen or bathroom area, or outside open the water heater door and the switch should be inside if it has one

Welcome to the forum.

Look under the stairs if it's the livingroom slide and under the bed if it's the bedroom slide. You should see the crank bolt, that matches the crank handle.

If you are talking about the fridge going from electric to propane, set the switch to Auto and the frigde will figure it out by itself. If we're talking hot water there should by a switch in on the HW heater, open the exterior access panel and flip the switch. Be sure the tank is full or the heating element will burn out.

Try this link and pick you camper out of the list, you should find what Dutchmen supplied for documentation.

The important manuals are for your appliances, Some times you will find the on the Dutchmen site some times not. For those I go to the manufaturer with the model number and look them up.

Hope this helps any other questions come on back.

My water water heater switches are in the cabinet under the kitchen sink, along with the holding tank sensors.
