RV Sites near Dallas TX

We are going through Dallas, Tx on our way to Yuma, Az .. we have never been to Dallas and would like to spend a few days touring. Anyone know of a good RV Resort close to Dallas that you would recommend. All the ones we find on line say they are not made for "big rigs" ? We would like to be able to pull in and out with no problem.

Your going to Yuma Az. in the summer Us that live in the desert try and get away during that time. Wife & I are heading out for three weeks to cooler country, Colorado & Black Hills in South Dakota.

Tanker,

What Mike said!

Our last trip to AZ was middle of Sept to middle of October. Riding across I10 & I8 from Tucson to Yuma on the bike, it was 104F. It did cool down at night, it was only 95.

Northern Canada, really! Last time I was in Ottawa it was in southern Canada! I still can not fathom living in all that humidity.

Have you got a place in Yuma staked out? I had some real interesting experiences trying to find a campground, on the bike, towing a popup. Nearly as much fun as parking between 2 Class A's at Circus Circus, on the strip in Las Vegas.

Hello xtanker, I'm a new member here with a new Voltage v4000. Dallas isn't much of an RV destination, so there isn't much to choose from. If you are coming in from the East on I-20 then Mill Creek Ranch Resort in Canton TX is nice, we did our first test camp there a couple of weeks ago. They have plenty of large spots, I had no problem parking my 44' toy hauler and dually, neither did the guy next to me test camping in his XLR. If you stay there make it a point to have dinner at the Four Winds Steakhouse in Wills Point.
