GOOD MORNING:
Is anyone of large girth leary of using the roof access ladder at the rear of their coach like I am afraid of mine? I am a sizable man (dont mess with me) weighing in at or about 22 stone, give or take a couple of pebbles.
At any rate I have come up with what I believe is the answer to all of our concerns about the stability of that ladder. I simply got one of those "pickup cargo bars", you know, the ones that you put across the bed of your pick up in order to prevent the movement of your "Junk" from the tailgate area to the front of the bed.
The solution, simply put one end of the bar on the ground, the other end on the step of your choice, and then simply tighten the bar untill you are satisfied. If you want to distrbute and make things more sturdy simply put a chunk of 2x6 on the bottom and perhaps a 1x3 on the top.
Hoping I made this clear enough.
