Replacing OEM Matresses

Question: if you've replaced your OEM matress, can you post what you bought and your thoughts on your purchase?

The most comfortable mattress I've ever had was a European pillow top short queen mattress that came vacuum packed in a box from Camping World.

I replaced mine with a Sleep # bed. That's what I also have in my home. Have the standard queen size in the Voltage.

We bought this one..
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ilpage_o06_s00

I am overall happy with it. It's a little softer then we like. But the price was right! We have a very firm memory foam bed at home that we are used to. However it was a 1000% better then the "premium" mattress that came with the trailer.

If you have any weight issues (camper not person) then the sleep # is the way to go... especially if you have the $$... We have an older one that we use in our guest bedroom that is still appreciated by everyone that stays here. We haven't upgraded our camper yet but we are happy with what it came with once we threw a 4" memory foam on top. Once we full-time and have more weight to worry about I'll be switching to a nice king Sleep #.

Saw one in the store. If you like a softer mattress, its a great deal. We ended up getting one off of Amazon made by Sleep Innovations. From what I understand, its the same manufacture but different names. The one we got was much firmer.
Good thing about Costco, if you don't like it you can take it back.

Thank you all so much for your input. We knew the OEM mattress in the RESL wouldnt cut it as our normal mattress is a Temper pedic. We bought a Brentwood Gel Memory Foam from Amazon preemptively as it compared to our regular bed. While our maiden voyage was nothing short of awesome, we both slept poorly on that mattress. Just wondering what some of your experiences were. Again, thanks for the great responses!

Went from European pillow top mattress that felt good. Switched after several years to I comfort gel/memory foam. Felt good initially but did take awhile to get used to the different kind of comfort it provides. Now with having one in the RV and one in the house each time my wife and I hop into bed it is definitely the ahhh factor. Very nice

Got this.... Amazon.com - Signature Sleep 8-Inch Memory Foam Mattress, Queen - For the RV and loved it so much we bought a 10 inch thick version for the house. We have had them both for over a year with heavy use and still love it. The 8 inch for the rv was 199.00 when we got it off amazon. The 10 inch in the house replaced a 1400 dollar Serta pillow top that was only a year old and was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever had. My mother in law has a 6,000 dollar temper pedic that feels exactly the same as our 200 dollar mattress and if I have to replace it every 2 years we are still way ahead for many years to come.

If you have a Temper pedic at home and it works for you, isn't that what you should buy for your RV?

We have that mattress. I like it alot, so does the wife. They look like they've come up in price, though. I thought we only paid $500, last year, but I might be mistaken.

That has to be the one we have, either way, we like it.
