Question on installing water pump bypass

I want to install the water pump bypass so I can winterize easily. My question is to which side of the pump do I install it. I have enclosed pics of the pump. I have a feeling that it is to the line on the left side of the pump since there is a catch cup there.

Hope the pics show up. The one is of the plumbing to the left of the pump. You can see a hose coming up through the floor and going through the wall to the pump. The second pic is of the pump area.

Thanks for your help!

It's so I can use the pump to suck in the winterizing fluid from the jug. Here is a link to something similar to what I am using but mine is made of pvc, not brass.

Your kit will go on the intake side of the pump. There by the filter if you can find room.

I have the same kit on mine works good. Before that I would unhook the line on suction side of pump , then when I was done had to unhook and put away till next year,, that kit makes it much easier. Nice with kit if you got someone to hold hose in the bottle while you turn faucets on and off. I am by myself so I tied little weight to hose then put it in the anti freeze. You are on the right track,, dont forget to drain water heater

Left side of pump is correct. You can put the valve and suction hose on either side of the wall, which ever is easier to access.

Don't be surprised if you find that you will need to remove that screen filter in order to make room for the valve kit. That's what I had too do on my rig.

I'm going to add it on the left side near the water tank. Should have plenty of room. This area is under the sofa/bed.
