Angry Propane Line Problem!!

Question – I have a 96’ Dutchmen 32’ Classic 310 and I guess theprevious owner removed a fitting on the propane line coming out of the camper. It looks to be a ½’’ Male end (see attached pic) exiting thecamper and my end coming out of my LP Regulator is 3/8’’ male as well. I have been to every camper place, plumbing supply, lowes, gas company, homedepot, etc in town and am told there is nothing to convert/reduce this ½’’ tomake it connect to my 3/8’’ lp line. Can you help me with this somehow??

Both connectors are flared/brass and apparently they do not make a female/female fitting to join the two..

You won't be able to convert 3/8 flare to 1/2 flare. Instead, change pipe fitting. As an example, (and there are other solutions), reduce the 1/2 pipe connector to 3/8 pipe. then you can (even if you need to use a short length of hose or pipe) connect a 3/8 flare to the other 3/8 flare.
The short answer is that you won't be able to do this in one step, but you should be able to do it with 2 o3 3 pieces.

There's always the chance of a leak no matter how many connections there are so that's not a thing.

Where does the gas line in your right hand go?

If you loosen the flare nut on that union you will be able to connect the 3/8 flare directly to the 1/2 adapter that I listed.

It's hard to plumb anything without seeing all the parts.

That line goes to straight to the regulator which divides to the two lp tank lines...Trying to find this fitting in a store now!
