Power Trailer Mover
Anyone seen or use one of these?
Looks pretty useful for my application as I have a tight 90 degree turn in my driveway in order to park my trailer. This is a video but there is a link to the home page at the top.

Not sure which brand/model my friend has... but, because of the narrow street he lives on, he uses a power mover to place his TT rig in his driveway. Says it's one of the best tools he has.

Gordon,
That looks really interesting and would work on my gravel driveway. Have you seen one in use? I've sent them an email to see if they have a Canadian Distributor.
PS: Any plans to leave the rock and be in or around the interior this year?
Cheers

Hey Daryl,
I've not seen one of these which is why I was asking. Let me/us know if there is a Canadian Distributor. I think you will also have to buy a wheel for under the tongue jack, doesn't look like one is included.
We're both retiring this year and were planning a trip to Hazelton but that may be a thing of the past as our daughter may have a job offer back here on the Island.
But, we will be going somewhere for sure, just don't know where yet, lol!

I did get a response, I wasn't specific about the product request so I've responded with that information. We'll see what happens, the person did respond with a positive about Canadian distribution though.
Great to hear that you both get a "get out of jail free card" and also about your daughters potential move back to the Island. Sounds like it will be a great year for you two
We're going to Tumbler Ridge to see the water falls and dinosaurs and I'm thinking a trip Bella Coola may be in order, but MA doesn't know about that one yet.
Cheers

Response from Paul at Purple Line USA as follow:
Hi Daryl,
We have 60 RV dealers across Canada so i'm sure we can locate one near you. Is Prince George the town in which we should be locating a supplier for you? I have included below our list of dealers in BC.
Is there any information you need about the product we can assist with?

Subsequent email to the last, Paul has provided a link to all the dealers that would have access to the product.

Big Boy's Toys is only an hour north of me so I'll go check them out.
Thanks Daryl. Curious how much more it will be in CDN dollars.

Gord,
I don't have a dealer close by, would you mind letting me know what you think and whether or not it's worth it for me to pursue.
Cheers

Turns out they don't stock it, it's a special order.
They are $2025.00.
I'll let you know if I buy one.

I have seen this in action on a tandem axle bumper pull 26ish foot trailer. It was in the dealers service department on flat concrete floor. It used a lot of battery to move around but is was super cool! They had built a special heavy duty wheel for the tongue jack because they had worn out a few regular wheels, and they had a double wide wheel for running it in the grass. He suggest keeping the front on a sheet of plywood if the ground was soft. At the time I saw it he was trying to come up with a wheel set for a fifth-wheel with two front jacks. (something about week swivel castors)

Good information to know, after doing further searches on line I've found this unit re-branded under a few different names all about the same price though. One of the reasons that I haven't jumped on a mover is the traction issue with the ball mount style. Our new truck has a slightly shorter wheelbase so I'll have to see how that functions this year and hopefully a dealer will bring one into inventory in this province so I can see how it works.

Thanks for the info. I wondered about the power drain, particularly when dry camping.
