Pick of TT delayed 3 weeks.

Hello everyone. I just joined last week. I've been super excited to pick my 2017 Aspen Trail 3010BHDS. Well yesterday was supposed to be that day. I went to the dealership (one week after purchasing) to take ownership. After a couple hours of paperwork and orientation I walked out to the parking lot to hook up and drive home. I was greeting by the service manager who told me a problem was discovered on one of the slide outs that was causing a loud noise when retracting and expanding the slide out.

They tried the quick fixes of lubrication and such, but had no success. So I left it overnight for them to dianose it. I was called today and informed that one of the control arms on the slideout had a bow in it. They decided it would be best to replace both the front and rear control arms, but the parts have to be made and shipped. That process will take about 10 days to make the parts and another 7 to ship. Then of course there is install time. So, I like will be waiting close to 3 weeks to take the TT home finally. We have a tenative trip planned for the 5th of May "Cinco De Mayo" that I hope we can use the TT for.

Anyway, that was my vent. On a really positive side (so far) I used a $100 gift certificate they gave me to buy a "discounted" generator. I bought a Champion 4000w generator, originally priced $489, for $255 after the gift certificate and military discount. It's basically and open box discount so I literally just got the generator with no instructions or anything, but I'm not too worried about that.

At least they're fixing it, there's places out there that would have let you take it and you'd be at a campground with a stuck slide. Better now than later.

Yeah I'm happy they caught it. I just hope this doesn't become an repetitive problem.

I'm a 1st time TT owner so I don't want to end up with a bad taste in my mouth for TT buying.
