Our Summer Adventure
We are now back home from a 7200 mile round trip over a 2 month period.
We traveled from Arizona to Niagara Falls, NY then down to Jacksonville, FL then back to Arizona. We had a great time, got to visit with some friends and family and see some great attractions at the various cities and towns we visited. Loved Gettysburg and the Space Center in Houston.
The trailer performed well with a few exceptions.
1. The D-seal bulb seal on the main slide has deteriorated thus letting water into the main slide. I had to sweep rainwater and condensation off the top before bringing the slide room in before moving to a new location. I plan to order new seal material as soon as the Post Office starts delivering mail back to the house.
2. The Thetford toilet ball valve was sticking. Had to lift the pedal with our toes to get it to close right. Took it apart today and replaced the seals. Works well now.
3. The rubber valve stems on the tires couldn't take the weight of the TST TPMS sensors and kept failing. Tire stores don't seem to keep the metal ones that bolt inside the wheel in stock. Had to order some from Amazon and have a local shop install them. (Need the kind that bolt inside the wheel because of the recessed holes in the aluminum wheels didn't have room for the external nut.)
An observation: The Eastern states don't seem to have as many National Parks as the Western ones do. Kind of a shame really.
The Timbrens suspension enhancement really worked well in keeping the truck level.
