New V3605

I am really close to pulling the trigger on a new Voltage V-Series V3605. I wanted to check in here to see if there is anything that I might consider before making the purchase (problems maybe others have had in the past, etc.). Also, thoughts on things that I can check on the walk through would really be appreciated... I always seem to miss things. I just joined the forum and have not had the time to comb through the forum to see if there is a similar thread, apologies if so.

If you haven't done the deal yet check out Toy Haulers for Sale in California | Trailer Hitch
It's were I got mine & they were $5,000 cheaper with more options than Richardson's was.

You might want to check out general rv in draper utah just south of salt lake. My unit was the best price in the west.

The Schwintek slides are terrible. I would buy from a dealer near to you for later service issues you are bound to have.

This has a new cable slide system... I think it's new??? Either way, do plan to buy local. All RVs will have problems at some point :/

We bought from Toy Hauler Liquidators in Fresno. They had a large selection and the prices were the same as Trailer Hitch near Pismo. Trailer Hitch did not have what we wanted....

I personally don't mind the Schwintek system. Knock on wood, proper maintenance and correct operation has allowed for trouble free operation...now I freaking jinxed myself. We fulltime in ours, I would say that half of the folks come through here with Schwintek on the various brands, all seem to be trouble free.

I jumped on one without cables, my Outback (Keystone product) and it was a disaster...they use non-standard Accu-Slide parts, and they require adjustment to account for cable stretch.

I wished they would have done a rack and pinion system for the slides, my massive wall slide was awesome in the Outback...

As far as the walk through goes check & have them go over everything. Mine took a hour & a half. Make sure you also check the tire pressure I found mine low. Check that you have all the remotes mine came with seven.
You never said is this your first RV or are you like some of us that have been doing this for a while?

I have been doing this for a while, but I am finally getting to that age where I have learned I don't know it all... lol. For one, I did not know to look for SEVEN remotes!! I figured one for the LINC and one more for the exterior remote system. Are you counting one for each of the TVs?

I currently have a 2008 FR Sandstorm TH (40ft with 3 slides) that I have had for six years. Gets the job done for sure, but I'm ready for just a bit more luxury. I had a 2005 32ft standard Keystone fiver before that for 3 years. Learned stuff each time, but obviously still learning more.

Mine has 4 remotes for the TV's, 1 for the LED awning light, 1 for the radio/dvd player, and 1 for the fireplace/heater.

Thanks Jeff... Are there still multiple color options? Also, do you have a long bed or standard? I have a standard, and wonder what the clearance is like. Any other issues towing with a 3/4 ton?

I have a 1 Ton F-350 SRW (some day I will create a cool signature line like everyone else). I was just curious how Jeff's 3/4 ton did with the 3605.

a 2013 F350 has a payload of 3230 that included drivers passenger cargo (hitch weight plus hitch) etc etc IF you were to hit a scale you would be over as the trailer hitch weight is 2980 plus 200 hitch plus 200 per passenger plus full tank of fuel 500lbs etc etc etc

air bags or supersprings (Timbrins) or sumo spring dont change the GVWR they just level the truck - overloaded trucks and trailer are becoming a favorite target of scale operators and highway patrols etc
not to piss anyone off - just saying

cheers

I have pulled my 3605 about 500 miles on 3 trips and the F250 has not had any issues.
