New Denali Couple of Questions

Hi,

Couple of quick questions now that we got our new Denali 2611. First trip this upcoming weekend.

1. Sink cover did not come w this trailer. Do you recommend rrying to locate one? Is it worth it?

2. Tarp or fancy RV mat for under the awning? Our awning seems to go on forever so it has to be bigger size.

3. Upgrade right away to oxygenics hand held shower thingee? Supposed to have better pressure. I have long hair so was thinking it might be a good idea. Opinions?

Thanks for any input. Really excited!

M

1. We have both the wood and the quartz sink covers. They have never been in our rig from day one. They are sitting in our barn on a shelf. Michigan roads are so bad they may bounce out. Plus we ususally place frozen steaks in the sink to thaw for the trip to or from our destination.

2. The mat will let rain water thru - we have two of them for the same reason you state - large area to cover. ALso some campgrounds will only allow the mat as this will not kill their grass.

3. We upgraded the shower head right away and never looked back. Worth it in my wifes and daughters opinions as they all have big manes.

Donzinger is right on. Only thing I would add is the sink cover, as it adds a some counter space. If you have enough counter, forget about it. Congrats!

I only had sink covers on my Airstream. I currently use a cutting board that bridges the sink. It travels under the sink while traveling.

Mats, traps are noisy and messy.

Get theOxygenics shower head and a new quality hose, you won't regret it.

1. We have the sink cover but never use it as we have an island for additional counter space.
2. Get a mat... as Aaron mention, tarps are noisy especially in the wind.
3. Get the Oxygenics shower head and quality hose... Saves on hot water.

Have a great trip!

Thanks all! For the weekend since it is only 2 days I will use the tarp I have but be on the look out for the RV Mat. I will look for over the counter cutting board I think we have a lot of counterspace. (well I am about to find out I guess) More than the last trailer we had. Finally I will pick up the Oxygenics shower thingee.

I wish it was already tomorrow!

Denaligirl,

1, Check your local glass or plastic supply stores, for food grade plastic. Our local glass store does a lot of work in the food industry and they do a lot of cutting tables and the like. They can cut a chunk that will span the sink if you so desire. The material comes in 3/8 or 1/4" thickness.

2, Mat, they lay flatter and don't flip up with every breeze.

3, Ditto, ditto and ditto.

I have one important word for you.... AMAZON!!!!
you will find everything you need and at usually the best prices. I completely stocked my new trailer from amazon. Even my shower head and mat. I am starting my third year, and I still find things I want. Unfortunately the list will never end!

Agree wih all the above excep the cover. Our 289 camevwith a butcher block cover. Sonce our snk has two sides I put the cover on the old table saw and now have covers for each side of the sink. I also use walnut oil on the wood to protect it. Drips must run off.
