Needing a new converter

Looks like my converter fried the battery. Not taking any chances with the converter. What have you replaced your converter with?

Replaced my original converter a couple years ago with a Progressive Dynamics 9280. Very happy with it, works great, no problems.

UPDATE

I checked with one of our RV tech's at work and he said he thinks the battery went dry from the AZ summer heat and was cooked afterwards. He recommended against getting a new converter at this time.

As a side note, we had a 11 year old diesel pusher at our last RV show with dead house batteries and we were unable to get the slides out. Chassis batteries were new and worked fine. Nothing I tried worked at getting the house batteries going. I finally checked the water level in the batteries and all four 6-volt were dry. I filled them with water and ran the engine for a few hours, which was enuf to get some juice into the house batteries to fire up the generator. Finally got everything charged up, slides out and lights on. It was an old tag-axle Holiday Rambler.
