Mice

2018 Endurance Toy Hauler 3006, can't keep the mice out of garage and can't figure out how they are getting in.

A mouse can collapse its body smaller than a pencil so they can get in anywhere they want.


I have Fresh Cab packets all over the place to keep them out. I have the packets under the hood of my truck and under the seat. I have packets under the seats of my motorcycles and stuffed in places in my car.
A mouse or other critter cost me nearly a grand by eating hoses and wiring on my DEF tank. Another one cost me 400 bucks causing me to replace an A/C because it ate a communication wire up in the ceiling. I have the packets in several places in the hauler of course.



Those little bastards are the scourge of the earth. Fresh Cab can be found at Wal*Mart, Tractor Supply and other places.
All the places where I have the packets are places I have seen evidence of them.

Do you have a bathroom in the garage? I haven't had one in my camper since I put a Stainless Scrubbie around the gap where the drain pipe comes up through the cabinet.
They can be next to impossible to get rid of, a few old fashioned snap traps when it's sitting empty won't hurt.

Unless you forget where you placed them or they drag them off somewhere to die a stinking invisible death.

How big are your mice? I'm assuming they would be placed around the outside walls of the garage. If they get drug off/lost it's time to clean out or sell the Voltage

Curious if there is anything to the claim that dryer sheets placed around the inside of a rig will help deter mice? Same with placing mothballs on the ground under and around it.
We tried the dryer sheets (what could it hurt?) but not the moth balls. No mice the last two years when in storage but that may be completely due to other reasons. Anyway...

I pretty sure the soap trick doesn't work since I found teeth marks on a bar I had in a storage drawer. Dryer sheets might work if they don't use them for blankies.

I use smelly dryer sheets .. in every crevice .. crack drawer and cabinet ////
I leave nothing in camper in winter storage .. no tp paper towels nuthin .. sheets and things go in plastic tubs .. less bedding for them little creeps …
then I take the last handful of dryer sheets and toss them up in the air in the camper like confetti …
maybe the mice don't hang around cuz they think I am wacked ….

That might be the trick. I tired shooting them with a 12ga but that got expensive what with the holes and all.

Bounce dryer sheets, yes. Irish Spring soap, yes. Mothballs, not so much.


I was getting mice in the house, and put moth balls all along the foundation inside where they would run, and watched as one just walked over the mothball pouch without a care. This last year was pretty bad with mice and even found a couple rats that got in from the barn though the underground raceway for the power lines. I since sealed that opening with rodent proof foam and every other opening I could find. Then I set up glue traps and electronic traps that killed them all, and finally have no more in the house. Isn't country living great!



The trailer is parked in the barn during the winter, and I put mothballs all around the wheels, jacks, and on top of the tires, and some in where the electric enters. Inside are dryer sheets and Irish Spring. So far so good three years running. Also helps to have a couple barn cats.

Found where they were getting in, 2 6 inch holes with a few pipes or wires coming out from floor. Filled them up with expanding foam, we'll see what happens.
