Leaking Accuslide gearbox

While looking for my missing slide tool I find that grease is leaking from the gearbox. I'm starting to think I've bought the SS Minnow

Looks like a loose fastener or possibly a missing washer seal. Try snugging the screw down? Chance they may have overfilled it at the factory and it is just relieving itself.

Wouldn't be a surprise if it was relieving itself on me. It goes to a local "Dutchman approved" dealer on the 14th and I probably won't see it again till Christmas. I'm normally an upbeat kind a guy but this thing is about to get to me. Found a speaker barely hanging because the screws are stripped and several screws in the skylight that aren't fully seated, they just covered them with Dicor. I found this on Saturday too, fixed it.

You gotta stop looking for all the assembly snafus. It'll drain ya happy-tank.

If you can't stop yourself (I can't) then look at them as the very exact things that YOUR camper is going to be better than factory.....when you're done.

I wholeheartedly agree my friend and I appreciate y'all reminding me to keep my eyes on the prize....fun and relaxation. I promise, I'll quit complaining after this post....really!

There are things on my Coleman that are top notch. The cabinets are absolutely amazing. The caulking around most things looks like it was done by a robot, it's that good. Then I look at the roof, which is without a doubt the most important part of any RV, and it is terrible. It looks like a delamination bubble has already started just below the missing Dicor I posted.

I think manufacturers do these things because we don't hold them to a higher standard. This is the USA and I expect quality assembly. I have to be honest though and all the Dutchman lovers on here please don't hate me but...I never had all these issues with my new Forest River. Maybe it was the fluke

I did the same thing with mine when it was new, I couldn't believe all the stuff that wasn't right. I took a few days and started fixing all the little stuff myself, now she's rock solid and water tight. Then I started enjoying camping instead of fretting about everything.
