Kitchen sink stains

We have just returned from a 16 day shakedown cruise in our new 325RL Denali.
If liquids, including water, are not wiped up immediately, they cause a stain that requires considerable elbow grease and harsh cleaners to remove.

I'm thinking of cleaning it real well and applying some good automotive wax to the surface.

Any better ideas?

Check you big box home improvement store, they should have a product for protecting the surface of the sink.

I use Simple Green concentrate cleaning for just about everything from the rubber roof (Dicor CS said it was OK to use) to carpet stains. If it needs a boost, I add some oxyclean.

A gallon of Simple Green concentrate will replace just about every other cleaner you use. There is a chart on the label giving you the dilution rate for specific cleaning tasks. The best part is it's out abrasive and doesn't burn if you get it on your skin.

Also will keep ants away from the RV, spray the wheels, It iwll destroy the ant trail, and also kill them on the spot..

Thanks guys, but I'm not looking for a cleaner. I'm looking for a protectant that will prevent us from having to clean it each time we fail to dry any liquids from the sink.

Here's a different slant...

I'm not sure where you were, but I'm thinking that it may not be the sink... maybe it was the water itself.

Out here in AZ, the water has a VERY high alkali content... and it leaves a film on everything it contacts. Sinks, shower walls, drinking glasses... everything. This is the only place I've ever been where you HAVE to chamois your vehicle after you wash it, or else it will look WORSE than it did beforehand.

No one here drinks it... there are water filtering outlets everywhere to take your 5-gal bottles for refilling.

The locals here have various methods for 'descaling' it... orange & lemon zest mixed with vinegar, CLR, Kaboom, etc...

Bottom line... all I'm saying is that, maybe there's nothing wrong with the sink.

Handyman,

Sorry, I just threw the Simple Green thing in as a comment on the use of harsh cleaners.

Your big box home improvement stores do have products for protecting your sink from stains.

I just can't recall the name of the stuff we use and someone, most likely me, didn't put it one the shopping list.
