It came from the factory like this

I've had a minor water leak for a long time but since it didn't involve the trailer's interior I blew it off till this week (it leaks onto the ground). Turns out it is the Water Heater diverter valve in the wet bay that has a leak. The valve has a cracked housing where an elbow fitting screws into it. It appears that this valve was bad on the assembly line and someone put some sealant on the inside, installed the elbow, and sent it on down the line. That was in lieu of putting in a new valve and reattaching the PEX water lines. BTW the new valve is $85.

Being where you are you can find a replacement valve much cheaper. Some modification might be needed and it doesn't have to come from the RV dealer.
But really, why replace it? You live in Tucson after all. Just bypass the valve and make a note of it.

You're right, we camp year round and don't winterize. I thought about bypassing it but I might sell this trailer someday and decided to keep it stock. Except for the expense, replacing the valve is easy. Found the part at Amazon.
