You made my mind up for me. I'm going to cut the bumper off, bring the bumper mounts out far enough for the platform, then hang the bumper back on.

I'll have a nice home for the generator(s) and my dry box.

Best of luck Jim. We were very happy with ours setup this way. Just ran our power cord to the exterior grade plug that I mounted there (I also mounted a set of standard 15A outlet there for convenience). Be mindful of the extra length when pulling into or out of sites, driveways or streets with a significant grade to them.

Get a TV that runs on 12V. There are plenty, some even include DVD. Search Amazon. Mine was about $200. If you think this will be a "thing," then double-up your battery. Generators come into the picture with overnights, not just for a short spell of "chilling out."
