We were back-pack campers until we had children, then moved up to hauling tent and equipment in the truck, years later and after the first trip with the grandchildren we brought our first TT a 26ft bunkhouse model. That lasted about 3 years as the family continued to grow even larger and now since we are getting closer to retirement we have moved on up to our new toy hauler.

I remember tenting growing up and sure did a bit of it in the service. Wife & I didn't want to sleep on the ground that's why we started RVing with a tent trailer.

Tent and Travel Trailer camping with my Grandparents as a kid, lots of tent camping in military, had a '75 dodge brougham for a couple of years and and my grandparents gave me their last TT as a gift when they moved to a coach. then a dry spell of 20 years so I am starting from scratch and relearning all I have forgotten.

We've only just begun our RV adventures. So far, 3 camping trips since April 2015 but *many* more planned.

That's good news. We've only owned campers for 3 years, but have "camped" in the past, the amount of people in the campgrounds around here has definitely been sharply increasing.
