Good Dealer-Spallco in Newark, DE

I just want to say that I have been happy with Spallco RV sales in Newark, DE. He is a small dealer that normally only orders once a year in the spring. He then sells from that. I found my Aerolite at two other dealers (one five hours away, one one hour away) and Spallco was able to order a new 2014 for 2K less than the other two. Before purchasing I asked if he was full service (he does have a bay capable of fitting any RV) but since he was small I was concerned. He said he did service.

Fast forward to post delivery and I have had a couple of issues that I was able to repair myself. After discussing them with Spallco, I was asked to send pictures and was told that he would try to get money from Dutchmen. I did't really believe anything would come of it but when I arrived home from work today, i received the paperwork submitted to Dutchmen and a check!

In all of my dealings with Spallco, the owner (Joe) has seemed truly honest and this proves it. One point of fact is that he doesn't have a parts showroom so I don't by my parts from him although he has offered to order the grill that comes with some Aerolite units for me.

prm99v6, it is always nice to hear of a "good dealer" instead of a "stealer"!

Customer service at its best. I love small companies. They have the ability to pay attention. Service after the sale. What a concept!

Apparently, you're in good hands..........I'm jealous.

I have the same experience with my small WV dealer PKB RV's. They are always quick to handle my small maintenance issues that are definitely not a money maker for them, like swapping out the clear porch light lens for an amber one.

I have them winterize it and do an end of year checkup.

Last year, they picked up on a 12volt warranty issue that I didn't even know about as I rarely use the inside cigarette lighter plug. I wondered why I couldn't charge my cell phone with it and it turned out my power supply was bad and was replaced at no cost.

I could have bought 2 1/2 hours away at bigger Ohio dealers like General RV or Camping World, but I like to support the independent dealers.
