Dutchmen Aerolite 284BHSL

Purchased my new camper on December 12th. Still have yet to take possession of it. Dealer keeps giving me one excuse after another as to why it is not ready to be picked up. Getting aggravated to say the least.

Mine took 2 weeks. I knew nothing about new-RV purchasing. I actually thought I'd be hauling it home the day I decided on it.

Fortunately, I benefitted from a really thorough PDI before they walked me through MY PDI. So looking back, it was worth it. I've now slept, showered, lived in it 250+ days and not a single issue.

Hope you have a similar outcome.

They told me 2 weeks ago mine was next. This week they tell me the service department is closed and asked me to pick a day next week. I told them Monday Jan. 2nd. Their reply, January 6th.

You chose a bad dealer, unfortunately it happens a lot. I would make myself the squeaky wheel...

Looking I did pick a bad one. I am sure anytime I need service that will go well too.

You can bet on that. Bought my camper on a Tuesday, they drove it to my house to make sure it would go up my super steep driveway without tearing the plumbing off, drove back signed the papers while they were setting up my hitch.
Picked it up that Friday.

Stopped by the dealer today. They obviously cannot give me back the lost time but I did leave happy.

In all fairness, commerce is anything but "normal" during December. Normal rhythm is easily disrupted.

She's beautiful!!!!

Might be the longest TT I've seen with only 1 black bump on top.
Bet it's got ducts throughout?

I was expecting it to be a pain to back into my short driveway and get it in as straight as I would like. But even though it is just over 10ft longer than my old one I think it was easier to back it up than the shorter camper.

Now for the weather to warm up a little bit so I can start making it truly ours.

The A/C ducts are ceiling mounted in each area. My documentation says it is prepped for a second A/C but been too cold out since we got it home to climb all over it and check for myself. Now that I think about it I need to find me a compact ladder that I can take along on our trips if for no other reason than to be able to clean off the top of the slide.

Thanks.
Plan on doing 1 if not 2 weekend trips locally prior to the 1st week of March to check things out. Have a week long tripped planned for March and another week long one in July. I am sure there will be several weekend trips between the week long trips in March and July.
