Buying new batteries

So I need to replace the one battery currently in my 5th wheel.

My 5er has two compartments to accommodate two batteries wired in parallel, and I plan to purchase two new batteries soon and get myself ready for tailgating season.

Any suggestions on type/brand etc.? Also I've read that buying two golf cart batteries is better than two deep cycle RV batteries.

Any truth to that?

I was thinking of checking out Costco, as their prices and return policy are good. I purchased my last set of batteries for my diesel truck there, and have had zero issues.

Thanks in advance for the input.

Two golf cart batteries will give you more amps than the 12v deep cycles. They will need to be wired in series. Double check that you have enough height in your battery area. That is the golf cart 6v are taller than the 12v deep cycles by a couple of inches.

I bought my second set of GC batteries from Costco this spring. I've been happy with all the batteries that I bought from them.

I had one Costco battery that went south, and that was in the truck. Costco has an outstanding warranty, I bought two new batteries, charged them up and swapped them out, took the old batteries back. I was expecting warranty on one battery, they gave me credit on both. I'd forgot the receipt at home, no problem the clerk scanned my card, found the original purchase and did the credit.

I would never go back to 2-12V.
