Oh yeah, easy fix. Yep, all the side trim has to come off, easy to do with a screw gun. Remove the vinyl liner in the track and then the track. If it's more than one piece mark each piece's location and 'up' orientation. That way you will find the screw holes again.
For parts, a handful of new screws that you pulled out of the side trim.
Of course the ladder support comes off and the fuel fillers and all that stuff.
A sheet metal shop can get you white .060 aluminum, usually a 4x10 I think. It's used for outdoor signs so it doesn't have to be painted white. The sheet metal shop can bend it for you and if you want cut the holes for the fuel stuff.
The next step is to take the metal to a sign shop and have them stick on the black vinyl.
The materials are relatively cheap as opposed to 85 bucks for bare aluminum from the manufacturer, not to mention over 100 bucks for shipping.
The bent trim can be straightened, it's thin material but it'll straighten out pretty well.
One thing you will find is the angled part that is bolted to the frame isn't square. You'll notice that when you pull the damaged stuff, there's a slight angle to the cut. Mine was that way on both sides so I decided not to lose sleep over the 'why' of it.
One more thing, be prepared to do some taping and sealing after the damaged material is used. Where the garage floor drops down and the inside wall meets it the usual blind installer's ****ty job. Y ou have to caulk or tape that part to have a good seal from the elements.
After lunch you can sit back and say easy peasy!!
