Black Water Valve

I just purchased a 2012 Dutchmen Infinity 3740 and was out performing maintnenancesince the unit has been idle for 18 months.

I was testing the cable operated dump valves and the grety water is fully operable but the black water handle only moves about an inch. I assume it is stuck since the tank not being used for a long peroid. I don't want to take her out the first time and find out I can't dump my tank. Anybody have suggestioins on a solution on how to best get the valve working? The unit is fully insultated including the underbelly and I cannot see the valve or the cable. Looking at the unit from the contol panel it appears that someone has had trouble before as the cable has two worm drive clamps stabalizing the cable to the housing.

Any suggestions? I have thought of dumping five gallons of hot water into the tank but if I have to take the valve apart I will have an unpleasant enviroment to work.

You will probably find the problem is in the cable. The manufacturer uses a universal type cable to fit all applications, even if the cable is too long. These cables can't be lubricated and they aren't the best the cable world has to offer either.
Your best bet is to drop the underbelly and start poking around. The cable can't be removed from the valve body so you are sort of stuck (no pun), with pulling the valve and cable and replacing with the same or wait until a few members share the link to electric valves.

When mine stuck last year, I OVERTREATED with WD-40, moving it in and out several times then it freed up. My underbelly is sealed also.
