Aerolite plumbing

We are on our maiden voyage with our new Aerolite. Water tanks are full. Water pump is on. Valves are open to all faucets. Nothing but air comes out the faucets. What am I doing wrong? Tank gauge shows full fresh water.

is your pump working?

there are five or six motors to choose - go to the motor page on the controller and - heck - just turn them all on!! if that doesn't work - call the Dutchmen folks - or your dealer

like on our new Ultralite, motor #3 should be the awning - but it's actually #4

good luck!!

Thanks for the quick reply. I can hear the pump running so I know it's on. Wondering if there is a bypass valve or something that could be closed. And if so, where would it be!!!

See if you can find the pump, there may be a winterization valve that is turned the wrong way. It may not be properly connected, there could be a break in the line causing it to suck air instead of water.

We r searching like crazy in the unit and online to figure out where the pump is. We talked w a few Dutchmen owners to see if the pump location was similar. But to no avail. It's not under any couches or chairs. Will need to call on Monday. Gonna rough it for the rest of the trip. I'll update the thread when we figure this out. Thanks for the ideas!

Look in the vicinity of the gravity water fill port. The pump should be near by. Turn the pump on and listen to see if you can find it.
If you have a winterizing valve it needs to be in the off position or you will just suck air.

There are many models of Aerolite... can you be more specific?
You say you can hear the pump running. Where is the sound coming from?
On our older 265 the pump is behind a removable panel (4 phillips screws) at the bottom of the galley cabinets.

Thanks everyone for your help. Found the pump and the winterization valve (which was blocking water flow). You can access it w/out removing any panel by reaching over the wall under the sink. Below are pics.

You could also remove the panel under the galley. The access under the sink is for those w small arms. Very happy camper!

Mine had a similar panel under the kitchen counter. Basically serves no purpose for me. Took out the panel and mounted a basket across the full length just above the water heater.

It's helpful if everyone puts the make and model of their camper in the signature line.
It can be found in the "User CP" at the top left of the page.

Only problem is signature lines don't show up in TapaAtalk

Glad you got it figured out and it was only a valve!
Enjoy the rest of your stay!

Haha, or just include your camper model in the original post.
