1997 Dutchmen Duck - New Tires

Last year we bought a used 1997 Dutchmen Duck to keep at our cabin for extra sleeping, but It's been such a good experience we're ready to take it on the road for a week. It came with 5.70-8 tires rated for 1075 lbs (100 PSI). Before we leave I wanted to replace the tires, but I can't seem to find these same tires anywhere. Most are only rated for 751 lbs. I was trying to find out what tires were originally installed/recommended but can't find any documents on-line.
Also, these tires were very difficult to get off the trailer due to the tight space in where well area so I'm thinking they were not original size? Any suggestions from the Dutchmen community would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Welcome to the forums!

There "should" be a sticker on the front left corner somewhere that has the OEM tire size and rating on it. It will also have your GVW. Inside (somewhere) typically inside a kitchen cabinet there will be a sticker telling you the empty weight and the cargo carrying capacity. New ones are yellow. Yours is probably white.

As long as the tires are rated to 80% of GVW you should be fine. More is better to a point.

Don't scrimp on tires because you will regret it. Just look at the numbers on the tire and use those as a guide. be wary of the load range of the new tires you are buying.
