17.5 on a Car Hauler?

OK Guys,

I need your help again. Winter is "MY" season to play and my 20' Alum-Line Car Hauler needs tires again!

Tires on there now are Denman Express S/T made in Mexico.

It seems that I can never get more that 2 or 3 years out of a set of trailer tires. They just rot and fall apart so I have bought my last trailer tire. If I can't get 17.5's to fit I will go with light truck tires. The load will be fine. But I prefer to go with a 17.5" wheel and tire combo.

The wheel and tire on it now is a six lug ST255/75R15. I have a lot of clearance between the tires and the fenders and a good amount between the frame and the back of the tire.

So, is there a set of 17.5" wheels and tires that will replace a 15" six lug wheel tire combo.

Thanks
Arlan

Well, I've been looking. It seems all the 17.5" wheel tire combo are 8 lug. Unless I am missing something.

Arlan, On my car trailer, I found that if I keep the tires off the ground and cover them like our RV's, they seem to last longer….I keep my Trailer in my back yard...
