Under Counter LED Lighting

I don't know how many of y'all have this feature. I have yet to see the inside of a Voltage.

However! We went to the Raleigh, NC RV show a couple of weekends ago and we really liked the under counter edge LED lighting on the $650,000 motor home we looked at. After a bit of contemplating and perusing Amazon I came up with the necessary pieces and parts. Best part? I saved $649,980!

Here is are the links to the lights and the remote/controller.

Installation was pretty straight forward. I cut the connectors off and used heat shrink butt splices. I drilled a 7/16" hole in a dark corner of the cabinet to feed the wires through, then spliced into a 12 volt feed. The light strip itself has 3M tape on the back and sticks to the cabinet. If it comes loose I will use a hot glue gun to restick it.

An added bonus, when the lights are on it makes it a lot easier to see what in the drawers!

Aaron

Ok, for night-light reasons those are too cool.

The fact they add light for this old man, when looking in drawers and cabinets, is just a bonus.

I'm imaging that 2AM call of nature is going to be much nicer with the low glow of the safe path.

Ordered a couple of sets to compete the full route. (thanks for the links Aaron. You're a true gent)

You know, I wish my grandpa could come back for a day. (he was born in 1895) He would be pleased with my frugalness (RV living) since he was a "great depression" stamped man. But I'd love to see his amazement at the modern conveniences we take for granted. To him, this little 213 all setup like it is would be a space-ship science fiction "contraption", as he'd put it.

I added some left over strip led lights under the overhead cabinets. Really made a difference.

To quote an elderly friend of mine... "We live in interesting times" She happens to be in her mid 80's and doesn't look or act a day over 60.
