Toilet Riser

While investigating a smell from our half bath I pulled the toilet to see if the seal was making good contact at the floor line. After pulling the toilet I discovered that the seal was okay but the china bowl was cracked on the back right corner. I could not see the crack until I had pulled the toilet. I stopped by CW in San Antonio, Texas and filed a warranty claim because it had smelled ever since we brought the trailer.

I ended up coming out with a new Thetford Toilet and a Thetford Toilet Riser. We thought the 2 1/2 inches of extra height would be nice. After installing the toilet with the riser we like it so much that I'm going to install a riser on the toilet in the main bathroom. Us old folks need all the help we can get.

I'm going to have a look for a riser I think...
Glad you got it all sorted!

My supply line comes into the toilet from the floor right behind the base. Nice set-up but I would have to make some mods for this to work.

From what I've experienced with the plumbing scheme that's done on these rigs I bet you'll have plenty of tubing under the floor to reach the intake.

If not, an extension piece is an easy install.

How is the extra height overcome with the base of the toilet 2.5 inches higher than the floor flange?

The instructions that came with the riser show cutting a hole in the riser for the supply line if it comes up in that area.

My main bathroom supply line comes up from the floor also. I measured the distance from the back edge of the toilet to the back edge of the riser. It's only 1 1/2 inches. My supply line is nearly 2 inches from the toilet and will miss coming up through the riser by about 1/2 inch.
