stereo in living area

I have a 2014 3895 Voltage toyhauler and would like to put a stereo in the main living area because the only stereo we have is in the garage and it's sound quality is very poor. Does anyone have any ideas on the best way to go about this?

Do you have the EPIC package with a Blu-ray player & sound bar???

I can play the Direct TV music channels through the TV sound bar with great effect.

I only use it for the TV & DVDs, but I think I remember a post where it can be set up to play other music???

Our soundbar is also BT enabled so we play music from phones/iPods thru it.

If you need to add on, you can access the back of the entertainment center and all the wiring through the cabinet in the bathroom. Just remove the 4 screws in the corners.

You can cut out the slots below the cabinets to add components. My Direct TV box wouldn't fit in the cabinet so we cut out the panel below the TV to mount, that's the Blue-ray player next door. You may be able to mount a car stereo head unit and wire it into the soundbar???

I'm going to have let Don help you out with the bluetooth. I recently graduated from an old Nokia flip phone, and all I want to know how to do with my new phone is to turn it on and answer a call!!!

Don,

Our 2014 Epic 3800 has the sound bar up above the TV in the living room. I have yet to figure out how to use it...period.

I don't seem to have any documentation for it either, that I know of. Not sure make, model....?

Thoughts on how to get started would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Pirate

Pirate, I will have to get in mine tonight or tomorrow and see but I believe mine is emblazoned with Sony across the front. On my remote I am able to select bluetooth input and that shows up on the soundbars display. From there I pair my phone or ipod to the soundbar and play. My garage stereo has same option. I will try to find a book for better instructions but we all know how that is with these things.

For the sound bar manual...Google "HT-CT260H manual". The third hit should get you what you need. I had to hunt down the manual, as I found the sub behind the basement wall, unplugged, thus unpaired. Used the manual to run the pairing process...plus all the menus are shown..

Don, I would really appreciate the info. I will go down and see what my Soundbar says.

While installing the electric valves...I could plug my iPod into the Kenwood stereo in the garage. Select it, and you can see songs playing...but no audio from either pair of speakers. Worked last Summer, so something has gone haywire. Put in a CD and you get music out of the speakers.

Didn't do much digging, working the electric valve project ya know!!!

Thanks much,

Pirate

Just a thought, but you might be able to pair your stereo in the back (if its BT capable) and the sound bar if its the Sony. Lots of techno tinkering on the menus, but theoretically would work.

Pirate - I intend to take a look for you tonight - do you know what Brand at least? Mine says "Sony" prominently on the front.

Admittedly I don't use the bluetooth.

But if you just want to play your Sony TV through the Sony soundbar...
I turn my soundbar on with it's separate remote and set it to "optical" to pick up the TV audio.

My Kenwood in the garage has an output menu that can be switched between the outside speakers & the garage TV to play DVDs.

Pirate - here is a pic of the front face of my soundbar. In the second pic you can see the bluetooth symbol. Does yours have this symbol anywhere on it?

Solrac65, I have a 2013 Voltage 3895. Our DVD player in the living room is wired to our surround sound (sound bar over TV, speakers over couch), and is multifunction. Pressing the function button on the DVD player, or the remote, toggles through DVD/stereo/USB input. I have been impressed by how good the sound is when used as a stereo. Might your DVD player work the same?

Solrac,

But if you have the Sony soundbar, its pretty easy to Bluetooth an iPod to it and have the music you want, buy playlist, artist, album...whichever you choose.

It works very well.

If you're not familiar with iPod devices. Go to Best Buy and they can tell you all about them I bought a early one and used it to play through the radio on my 2000 Electra Glide. In the trucks, we gave XM Radio a try, lasted from 2004 to 2014...and we got sick of the talk, the poor music selection...and went and bought three iPod Nano6 (I think that's right) and programmed them for us, put one in each of the three trucks...and listen to nothing but music of our choosing. Oh, wife, er Boss, listens to audio books on hers as well.

The iPod learning curve is not very steep and they work very well and haven't killed one yet!

Just a thought,

Pirate
