Slid out sewer hose storage

I saw a few different ways to make these online, here’s mine. It’s long enough to hold both my hose and an extension. Works great and now I have more space in the basement for the wife’s shoes.

I used a 5” vinyl fence post and a 4” half round rain gutter. The passenger side is mounted with 3” bolts and the driver side with 2 1/2” to give it a little slant. I also used rubber washers where all the metal washers are to allow some additional movement when the frame.

I secured the passenger side end cap with rivets since I won’t be opening it from that side and so I didn’t have to buy a second lock.

I’m going to build a second one to hold cables and adapters.

I would if I were the one smart enough to come up with the idea. How they thought fence post + rain gutter= sewer hose storage is beyond me.

I like it! I used an 8" piece of PVC pipe and a couple of threaded ends with threaded inserts. problem is that I had to fasten it to the rear bumper with steel hose clamps. A bit rocky but it works. My new hose and fittings would not fit into the bumper and the bumper ends keep falling off and getting lost in transit. My extensions will not fit into that with the current hose I have so I'm needing to come up with somewhere to store them. This is the perfect answer. Just a question, why did you drop it away from the belly?

No real reason. Just a few concerns with the flexing of the frame and mounting it solidly since the leveling system sometimes lifts a tire off the ground. The belly of mine isn’t really flat either, so there is a little pressure in the center that I wanted to minimize. Mostly it’s because I wanted it to be able to drain any liquids that’s might end up in there.

I’m thinking about doing a couple 8” one like you have for the area rugs and fishing poles. I’m obsessed with space management and having an extremely tidy campsite.

I'm obsessed with putting stuff away. I treat the camper like I treat a boat, everything has a place and stowage is very important in small spaces. I like your idea and I'm going to use it.
