I saw a few different ways to make these online, here’s mine. It’s long enough to hold both my hose and an extension. Works great and now I have more space in the basement for the wife’s shoes.
I used a 5” vinyl fence post and a 4” half round rain gutter. The passenger side is mounted with 3” bolts and the driver side with 2 1/2” to give it a little slant. I also used rubber washers where all the metal washers are to allow some additional movement when the frame.
I secured the passenger side end cap with rivets since I won’t be opening it from that side and so I didn’t have to buy a second lock.
I’m going to build a second one to hold cables and adapters.
