Put a little light on the panel

Ok, so I am new to owning a Voltage and I have heard some of you mention how you wish the control panel had back lite. Well I certainly agree with that. My very first mod was to get some light on the subject. LED's are 12 volt so I tied into the 12 volt out let adjacent to the control panel and got a 12 volt micro switch from radio shack, then found some LED's on double back strips that you could cut to your needed length. I absolutely love this upgrade and it sure makes it easy to see what is going on.

Wow...very nice. This lighting mod is applicable to any where....where did you get the double back led tape lights?

Great YouTube video..

Thanks Coops. I order them on a web site called elemental LED, helpful staff.
http://www.elementalled.com/?gclid=CJ-Jn4GxkbgCFY1DMgod-0AAPg

However you may be able to find something similar at a local hobby shop or even a Lows or Home Depot. The trick is being able to cut to length needed an attaching the 12v supply to the LED strip.

I was wondering if your trailer came with a wireless remote for the slides and landing gear. I have a 2013 v3800 and the dealership told me stay stopped making that system for them

LED Home

I think the price is somewhere around 250 bucks.

If there is an antenna wire hanging from the receiver it is wireless capable. The receiver will serve the slides, awnings and perhaps some lighting.

Why is it I feel like a mushroom, kept in the dark and fed crap by salesmen and dealerships?

There's mine, 2013 Voltage 3800. Wired directly to the slide syncro modules. Would Dutchman really go to those lengths if they didn't have the remote for the receiver????

This is a 3rd or 4th generation receiver according to LCI.com.

I have that in my 2012 Infinity. Dutchmen packed the instructions, the charger but no remote. Yet another bone headed move by them or it was lost somewhere from the plant to when I picked it up. Ive sent two emails and spoke via phone and am still waiting for that along with other stuff to get shipped to me.

Wow guys, I was out at the sand dunes in OK. So I was just catching up on the questions. On my 2014 V3800 I got the same story (not remote for awning, slides or landing gear). And now seeing the picture from sundancer I will need to go confirm if I have the wire from my receiver??? I might say they ran out of remotes and just sent them any way??? And I really wish you the best of luck with customer service, I usually have to just take control and do it myself---it gets done better anyways. I hope everyone had an awesome 4th of July....

My '13 Voltage 3600 has a remote that controls the main slide, the main awning, and the outside flood light.

To the OP - very nice mod lighting your panel.

I like the mircro switch. So the light comes on when you open the door. I did a similar mod, except I installed a rocker switch in the panel. So the lights are on whenever the switch is on, and I added a light to the storage area under the control panel. Mods page here.

Here's the photo with the door open. I didn't take one with the door closed, but you can imagine what it would look like.

That looks great! Thanks for sharing. One of my next mods is to light up some other dark spots like you have shown.
