Re: Power Awning

I am sure that your dealer could convert yours to a power one, and might even give you credit for the one from the factory?

Re: Power Awning

What brand Awning is your trailer equipped with?
If it's A&E, check this out.

You can convert yours easily.

Here's the operating switch.

Re: Power Awning

Whichever brand you get, make sure that you can manually pitch one side to help with rain runoff. Our Carefree is adjustable and so far no problems with it.

Re: Power Awning

Our 2009 Dutchmen Lite 25C-GS has a Fixed position CarefreeofColorado power awning. It self drains, because the hydraulic pistons give under too much water weight. I have just recently emailed the company trying to find out some information to see if there is some way to give it more of a pitch. We actually have learned to like it for ease of in and out, but it took a "Paddy O'Shade" attachment to get it to give us enough shade. Our old awning was manual and I really didn't like the power awning, when we first got it, but I am getting used to it. The wife really likes it.
