Metal roof

Just installed a metal roof on my camper, all plywood was removed and replaced and any rotted wood on supports were replaced. The a/c and vents are not installed yet. All panels interlocked and folded over the side trim. Now onto the inside 😳

Looks great, I miss the metal roof our old camper had, not nearly the maintenance of these rubber ones.

Nice! That's a lifetime upgrade. They should all be metal or fiberglass. I'd gladly pay more for the upgrade.

Where did you buy the panels? Did you have to customize the panels?

The panels were custom built by me, they started out as flat sheets of painted gavalume bought from a metal building manufacturer. I do sheet metal work for a living so I have the brake in my shop to fabricate everything

Dang!

Nice roof! I don't remember the last time I saw a metal RV roof.

One thing I was disappointed in my trailer was how insulated the roof was to sound! I loved listening to the rain in my mom's old Class A. First rainstorm during a camping trip was disappointing!

If you miss the "pitter patter". Amazon sells CD with all kinds of rain and thunder

Tends to make me crazy......probably a reason for that.

Hi Cajun Ty
Great, great job ! I appreciate the work for three reasons, I spent 45 years of my life in HVAC, I installed a "snap & lock metal roof on my house, & I'm midstream right now in a roof replacement on our 2008 Grand Junction. I will post a few pictures to see if others are interested.
