FM Radio Antenna

I am in need of installing a radio antenna so I can have reception without having to raise the TV antenna and keep the amplifier on while I am hooked to the cable system of the campground.

I am considering purchasing this:

Jensen Rubber Mast AM-FM Antenna - Jensen and Voyager 44US01R - Radio Accessories - Camping World

and was wondering if anyone had made this modification and how you installed it. Since my entertainment center is located on an outside wall in the back of the camper, I can just drill through and run the wire easily but mounting, sealing, and getting a ground plane is a concern.

What are your thoughts?

Here's how I did mine. It did involve cutting a hole in the roof since my entertainment center is in the middle of my trailer and lots of DIcor sealant. The small black object on the metal plate is an XM antenna.
You can buy "No ground plane" (NGP) FM antennas that don't require mounting to a large metal surface.

I didn't feel like drilling a hole in the roof or exterior, so I mounted one of these behind the TV. Easy to route the cable to behind the radio. Pulled the radio out, disconnected the coax & adapter, and connected the Tune Trapper. Works good for me.
