Gordon,

Thanks for the pic.

Is that a Pelican Canoe??
I bought a new 15'5" Pelican Dakoda last week. Haven't gotten it wet yet.

No, it's a Clipper, Model Escape. It's a 14 footer and sits nicely on my new canoe rack.
I'll post a photo when I get one done, lol.

Re: What were YOU doing today?

What are we doing today....we are in Jasper Alberta...the weather is great. Very hot. Haven't seen any animals though lots of tourists from all over the world...even from the province of Ontario. I think it is too hot for bears, elks etc. here for 5 more days. Will send pics. All full hook up sites in Jasper are booked for the days we will be here. Staying at Wabasso campground with electric only hook ups. We are about 16 k from down town Japser. Mosquitoes are terrible ...they are Alberta size... must be all the rain and standing water and the heat. Scenery specatular as always.
Can't believe all the motorcycles on the road...lots pulling little trailers.
Take care all.

Coops

Re: What were YOU doing today?

Hello FlyingDutchmen...we have only stayed in Banff at the Tunnel Mountain Trailer Court -- full hooks . Very nice site free showers and flushie toilets and great mountain scenery....only 2.5K from downtown "Rodeo Drive" ...er I mean Banff. Village 2 is electricity only we haven't stayed their.
Jasper is our our fauvorute camping spot and Whistler campsite with full hook ups is our preference
If u are thinking of coming to Japser ...come fully stocked with goodies or bring lots of $. Is it ever expensive...for example 1lb of butter=$5.00cd. Old Dutch 200g bag potatoe chips=$4.29cd. I guess the merchants have to make their living from the tourists...would hate to be a local resident in jasper.

Hope this helps my friend.
Take care and travel safely with your Hemi...sounds like a nice TV
Another hot day in Friendly Alberta....

Re: What were YOU doing today?

Thanks Coops All very good info. I'm finding it hard to get any time off work at the moment so it's just a day or two here and there but thats ok. It's just nice to get away. Another day in the 30s here in Calgary.

Re: What were YOU doing today?

Yup, Coops, a good day too! We're back in 100 Mile House working our way home after a week in the Barkerville area. Bowron Lake was great! Internet has been poor so can't upload any pics but will do so when we get home.
