Say it ain't so!

Leaving me here with the big boys?

FWIW we have been looking at some larger trailers too, with an eye to something closer to 4 seasons. Currently the front runner is an early 2015 Lance 2285. It has a front bedroom, center bath and a huge rear kitchen, dining, lounge area. They are a solid 4 season trailer and come very well equipped compared to a lot of other things on the market. They have enclosed tanks and dual pane windows, so that makes them a lot more usable to us in the colder seasons. I can upgrade the Coleman, but is it really worth it in the long run?

Thanks Aaron and Eric! Aaron that Lance looks nice; we looked at one close to it today. I had picked out a small, a medium and a large. Thought we were going to the medium, but ended up with the small. Small is relative, it's still WAY larger than what we had! I've thought about getting those stick-on heater pads for the grey and black tanks for weather like this, when it dips into freezing at night for just a little while. Yes, Eric, it doesn't take too long to feel the cramp of the smallest available. With only one bed/dinette, it meant we both had to get up and go to bed at the same time. With a separate br, she can go in early, or I can sleep late. Once we bought the larger truck, the solution became inevitable! Here's the floor plan. (btw that curly line is a curtain that closes off the br)

Marty,
Nice floor plan.

The one have to have for us has been the walk around bed. So we started with that. I could add tank heaters to the Coleman, but it won't solve a lot of the other colder weather issues. I would have gone camping a couple of times this winter when the days were in the upper 40's to near 50 and the lows in the mid to low 20's. The only way to do that with the Coleman is dry camp. I have camped in the 20's with a popup for over a week. more than once.

Boondocking at LBJ National Grasslands trail head. 50 mile trail run. Roughing it in the V3600.

My nose rides a lil high because my truck has oversized tires and 6" Rough Country lift. I was really worried about it at first but my height clearance is still within tolerance and it tows nicely,

Mine tows well but after 11,000 miles and 2,500 lbs of weight in garage I am noticing rear tires wearing a bit more. Sure weight in the garage is partly to blame but I am about 4.5 inches taller in the front than the back. That's with a stock truck

I am planning to rotate trailer tires regularly in effort to prevent that if possible. It's good to hear you put 11,000 miles on before seeing serious wear.

I can't say serious wear but more than the front tires. Very happy to report no weird wear even across both rear tires Going rotate this week Also hope to resolve nose high issue this week.

Are you still running the Chinese tires or swapped out for American? I traded out for Goodyear Marathon last weekend, only put 4,000miles on the Chinese, was too scared of a blow out, heard too many horror stories about them for my liking.

Crazy I have 11,000 miles plus on west lake. I constantly check visually and make sure at max pressure. Got rig last October so no real hot temps. Did make trip to Laughlin, nv and borrego springs, ca temps in the mid to high 80's. Must say had marathons and had a few problems.

Sure looks like you have a big enough truck to pull a larger RV.
