Looks nice ducmon. Is the backup cam and third ac an upgrade, or did it come like that? I have neither how well does the backup cam work. If you installed was it a PITA? 17.5s man you going way out. Im considering that too... except I have new G614s spent a bunch on those... gonna run them for a while and see what happens.

Both camera and 3rd a/c came from the factory. It was an upgrade but I didn't have install it. The camera does help, but the refresh rate is really slow, so it only helps if you're moving slower than the refresh rate so that you have a "live" image.

I didn't want to spend money on new tires, let alone new rims, but from what I read the issue with tire blow outs is also due to 16" wheels. So I thought about it and figured, I can buy good quality tires and keep my rims, but if I have 1 blow out, it's going to create damage that exceeds the cost of new wheels and tires. So I went ahead and did it. Not fun having to spend so much money just to make our rigs safe, and work properly, but it's the way it is.

Ready for our second trip. All of the little build mistakes have been fixed.

The truck was great but when it turned 100K, it needed rear main seals and head gaskets. I was shocked!

I traded it in for a brand new 2013 HD 3500 Denali. I drove it for 2 months and the damn vibration from that truck drove me nuts. The passenger seat would vibrate, the tailgate would shake in the rear view mirror, you could feel it in the seat of your pants.

I found a 117 page thread on a diesel forum of guys that had done EVERYTHING to fix the vibration.... driveshafts, one piece, two piece, rear ends, pinion angles, tires, trans, you name it. Even GM added a hydraulic mount under the cab in 2011 (can you say band-aid) to help but it didn't.

I've been wrenching on cars since I was 17 and I know better that if all those people can't fix the vibration, I sure as hell wasn't going to be able to. I traded that brand new truck in on a 2014 F-350

I couldn't be happier. Ford really has their stuff together. The truck is ergonomically correct, has the right storage, right equipment, the fit and finish is fantastic. I love this truck.

The gas mileage is less than I'd like but with a bit of a lift (few inches) and bigger tires, that is somewhat expected. I don't care, the 6.7 pulls my 20K trailer straight up a hill and doesn't hesitate at all.

Great choice in trucks!

Mark
I've read your stuff on DF. Hate you had that prob. I have had none of those issues on the 2011. Smooth. Nothing you or others describe. I do concider myself fortunate. Glad you like the new one
