So is anyone taking their RV out on Thanksgiving ?

Well my in-laws who are in their 80's have decided it's too cold to stay in South Dakota this winter. For over thirty years they came out to the desert as snowbirds. Then as they didn't want or couldn't drive any more they have spent the past five years or so in the cold. So we found them tickets & they will be flying into Mesa Az. on the day after Thanksgiving. As that's 300 + miles from us we are going to go out to Quartzsite Az. with out Voltage on Thanksgiving. On Friday we will drive into Mesa & bring the folks back to Quartzsite & then come home on Saturday.
We have had Thanksgiving in Quartzsite in the past but that's when the in-laws had their own RV out there.
I think we will just boondock out there as they have some great free sights. My son who just bought a used Wilderness 5th wheel can't wait to go RVing in his own rig.

So is anyone else RVing for Thanksgiving?

Yup!
We're heading South Monday morning. If we don't hit any bad weather traveling we'll be in Florida by Thanksgiving day.
We're doing Thanksgiving with the kids and grandkids here this coming weekend on Saturday. We'll join the other kids and grandkids for Thanksgiving in Florida.

We'll leave the 5er and TV in Florida and fly back here to Maine for Christmas.

Can't wait to get truckin'.

We are debating a two hour run to the coast of NC/SC for a good part of the week. Need to decide if my wife can get comfortable enough in the bed or on the dinette bed to sleep... or not. She had rotator cuff surgery just over a month ago and so far has been sleeping in the big recliner.

If we decide to go for the longer time frame we hope to hook up with 5-6 other families that we camp with on occasion. If we think the sleeping could be an issue we may just go down for a two day weekend.

Then again we may not go at all.

I just got a bunch of stuff in for mods and upgrades that need to be worked on.

Aaron

Well, I thought about it... but with the temps the way they are on the east coast right now, I can't really see any reason to.

So I guess my next run will be mid-December when I begin my trek out to Arizona for the winter.

I won't attempt to speak for AZDRYHEAT but I've found that San Diego is not friendly to largish vehicles. They seem to like their Prius' there.

My family and I went up to a Merry Meadows Campground near the Mason-Dixon line just off of I-83. We have gone there for several years for our Thanksgiving vacation. Very quiet at that time of year. Several other families there but mostly empty.
