I have my winch, one day I'll get to doing something with it. Nice cooker!

Looks great. Can you share some pictures on how you mounted your winch?

I had my friend that made the grill weld a receiver hitch to the front so I could mount a winch to get it loaded.

My daughter is an HSE (Health, Safety & Environmental) Engineer and she flipped out when she saw me loading the grill. I was standing in the "danger zone" and with the cable scraping the winch mount going up the ramp she was worried it would snap back. She made me buy a winch plate to mount a roller fairlead and get a rope to replace the cable so if it breaks I don't crawl away looking like Frankenstein!!!

Them synthetic cables are nice, you don't have to wear cowhide gloves when your pulling cable. Put them on the ATVs when I first got them and I haven't busted one yet, they are about 8 years old now.

Nice horizontal cooker. I had one just like it. But my friends all convinced me to go with the vertical ones and I LOVE them! They perform MUCH better than horizontal ones.!!!!

When I retired my old smoker I looked at several different options including modifying a trailer model to add a swing tongue and winch to get it into my 12 ft garage. A vertical smoker would have been too tall and top heavy to load / haul in the toy hauler, they do smoke a lot more meat and have a real even temperature.

I had to have the welder cut the smokestacks down on this one to clear the bunks. You may have noticed these stacks are on the firebox side, for a horizontal smoker this one is a top of the line reverse flow with tuning plates and is made from 2 ft wide 1/4 inch pipe.

Compared to my old smoker with an open firebox and the issues with a hot spot and uneven temperatures, these adjustable tuning plates run across the center of the smoker to direct the heat across the bottom to other side where you can open/close the 3 inch plates to control the heat and the smoke reverse flows across four removable racks back up the stacks.

I'm luvin' it so far... I've had it a month and cooked for 50 at an RV Rally in March, had close to 100 fans at our tailgate this weekend and am expecting 150+ for a Church Under the Bridge lunch on the 9th.
