Lac Le Jeune campground

Leaving to do some camping in the rain. Heading for Lac Le Jeune Provincial Park. It is about 45min. south of home. No full hook ups, just a piece of dirt, a fire ring, and a picnic table. No Internet ,no cell coverage, no TV..no nothing.. just the sound of a fire and some loons on the lake. Will bring a book that I have been dying to read...some s'mores that I have been dying to eat..turn on the CBC and listen to the pounding rain on the trailer and smell wet dogs. Ain't life grand.
The weather in Kamloops has just been awful...rain, rain and more rain. The province of BC has been hit hard with floods especially in the lower mainland, southern and northern interior.
I hope where ever you are that you are safe from floods, fires and tropical storms. Be safe.

Re: Lac Le Jeune campground

Hope the weather improves (improved?) for you. We're in Clinton right now but heading up to Fawn Lake near Lone Butte in a day or so. We've had some rain but lots of sun too.

Re: Lac Le Jeune campground

Thanks for bringing the good weather...I hope.
If you like hand made pottery there is a nice little pottery shop on the main drag...(there is only one main street in Clinton) if heading North on the right hand side. Have fun at Fawn Lake. The last time we were there I got skunked fishing.
Be mindful of road closures due to flooding and mud slides...have attached the drivebc link if u don't already have it.
Take care and travel safely

Re: Lac Le Jeune campground

Man, do you go camping EVERY weekend? I need your job!!

But yeah, we had fun even the rain as well. Pretty much left the dog outside all weekend (except for nights) and still managed to have a lot of fun under the tarp with the campfire.

Will send pics of the trip later. Our converter/charger packed it in while camping. The batteries weren't charging after running the gen 2 to 3 hrs a day. The unit is WF-8955 pec Amp Power Center.
It goes into the shop on Wed. We will see how the extended warranty works

I now bring a small battery charger with me for this exact reason. Also, my manual says to turn off the main 110V breaker when connecting to shore power. I have been doing that ever since mine failed a month or so ago.
