Well Coops - I am an American neighbor and I didn't have the day off! But thanks anyway - after (US) tax season, I'll be off for a month or two bfore I start the summer job!!!

It's pretty much a Federal (Government, Postal, & Bank) & State holiday. If individual businesses were kind enough to give the holiday to their employees, yea!!
I flew, from Florida to Maine, on that day. Otherwise, I would have been working.
