Hershey RV Show

Is anyone going to the Hershey RV Show?

I have emailed Dutchmen to see if I could work a day of the event to promote the Owners Forum. I did this last year with Heartland prior to the Voltage. Well sort of I had ,Promised to help but bought the Voltage the day before we left for Hershey. Still had a great time and promoted Heartland which I liked but didn't like their toy haulers at that time.

Trying to convince my wife. It is about 2.5 hours for us to get there and since we just bought the Aerolite she doesn't want to go anymore. I really want to experience "the biggest RV show"

We are 6 1/2 - 7 hours away and really enjoy the show. I think it is worth going especially if you have never been. Well have the Spyder with us and will do a couple of side trips. Didn't have a chance last year since we had the daughter, son-in-law and grand kids with us. We really didn't even see all of the show.

If anyone would like to meet up for dinner let me know. Also if your camping what campground will you be at.

We will be at the Hershey Park Camping Resort, just a few blocks from the RV Show. I just heard back from Dutchmen and my wife and I are going to work some of the show for the Owners Club. Please stop by. We will not arrive until Thursday early afternoon, but will go to the Show Friday..

Real nice! I wish I was doing the same thing instead of working. It is the last day today then off to Hershey.

Can you say HOT?

Wow... I baked out there yesterday. Temps in the high 90s, with a heat index of 106.

Thankfully the rest of the week will be cooler... and the weekend forecast is fantastic, with sunny skies & highs in the low 70s.

That is HOT! We left Ohio and the drive was good we did hit 90 degrees but had showers and it cooled it off immediately. Stayed in Bedford last night and leaving soon for Hershey. Will be at the show Friday and Sat. In time for the cooler weather.

Well were heading up tomorrow. Getting there late (around 1300) but since I am not in the market for a trailer (just going to experience the show) we should still have a good time. Will definitely be stopping by the Dutchmen area.

Here's my report:

Not what I expected. Certainly there are more units available than the four shows I went to last spring, but the vendors for other items/accessories seriously lacked. Camping World took the main stage as the "RV Store", I guess to be expected considering their sponsorship however there was no difference between the "show price" and the normal prices at the Camping World I shop at.

I did stop by the Dutchman area and my Aerolite was there. I determined that 1) I did get a killer deal as the "show price" was 3k more than I paid a month ago and 2) Dutchman put an awning with LED lights built in and a solid surface counter with under mount sink i the unit. When I asked the sales guy there he said the counter was new for the show. I checked and the water pump was in the same spot (next to the brain for the slide) and the output was still wrapped around the metal track for the drawer.

All in all, if you are in the market for a trailer/motorhome you have lots of options to look at but I didn't see many prices that seemed discounted (and I am not just talking about my Aerolite). Had a good time, but I am done with RV shows until its time to upgrade the trailer and I need to see what the latest options are.
