On our way back to South Carolina, we decided to take Georgia Hwy 16 in a southern circular route to avoid Atlanta. We were pointed to the McIntosh Reserve, a county park. Nobody was there, so we left $3 wrapped in paper at the ranger's door. We were ALL alone, and camped with a generator. The next morning, the ranger came by, very nice. He mentioned that camping was $15. I said, oh, I guess I owe you more money! He smiled, and I gave him another $12. After that, while my wife got ready in the camper, he took me all around the park in his truck, and pointed out the good sites. Seems there is a quiet time after 10pm, but he wasn't upset I ran the generator all night (for AC, it was hot!), because there was nobody else there. Check it out when your down south!
