Conserving space in Grey Water Tank

Conserving space in Grey Water Tank
For people that have Vessel sinks. What do you use for running water before it is hot (at sink) into such as a bucket, milk jug, or some thing else. I am not wanting to fill grey tank with unused water.

For all of our "waiting for hot water" needs, bathroom lavatory, kitchen sink and shower. The water goes into a wide mouth rubber-maid gallon pitcher. Then we transfer it into a gallon water bottle that sits along side the toilet and use the water for flushing water. Some times the flushing water in not needed as often. As when we may be in a dry campground with a toilet facility. In that case the water is poured back into the fresh water tank using a funnel we carry.

It all works pretty well. I figure we save at least two gallons of water per day using this method.

No problem. Glad I could help. In my trailer I find that one of the taller thinner water bottles fit beside the toilet while the shorter wider one do not fit as well.

Sorry, but I need to make a correction on my first reply.

The wide mouth pitcher is a two quart pitcher not a one gallon pitcher. A one gallon would not fit under the bathroom lavatory.

It is also not rubbermaid but the brand you find in most dollar stores.
