Winterizing

Well, last winter and most of this one my method of winterizing has worked. I would drain all the low points, open the valves and drain the water heater. No problem.

This last weekend, I realized there was a flaw in my methods as I never opened the shower faucet. My wife went to take a shower this past weekend after a hard freeze and the little transfer pipe between the handles had cracked which allowed water to spray out behind the faucet plate.

This past weekend, I drained everything, and blew the lines with my compressor. I did not add antifreeze so I shop I will be ok.
