Love the winch on my rail, has saved my and others bacon a few times. My car weighs about 2400 lbs, and loading when broke can be a real problem. Last year, trans broke, stuck in gear, basically dragged the car into the Voltage with the winch.

Rough night on that late night break, Memories.

Another good reason for winching in your toys. Thanks makes my case better.

OK, if you're looking to get a Side-by-Side machine into the Garage of your Toyhauler...
that's pretty easy. Mount the winch on the Ranger.

Get a winch that has a wireless remote. Polaris sells Warn winches under the Polaris name that come with wireless remotes.

Then put a heavy tie down at the center/front of the Garage. I did a post on putting in 8000 lb tie downs that won't get pulled out.

Then park at the base of the ramp. You may have to pull up on the ramp a few feet so that the winch cable clears the top of the ramp/Garage floor.

Spool out winch cable to connect to the tie down.

Then get in the drivers seat and winch yourself into the Garage. Using a bit of throttle or just winching in.

I use the tie down and pull the nose of my General down an inch and then use straps.
