Water pump recommendation

The campground we will be staying at for the foreseeable future has their water pressure set at 38 psi, which is tolerable, except in the evening when every trailer wants to take a shower, or the other connection on the hose bib is being used at the same time..

Today, I did a deep clean of the freshwater tank, filled her up and used the water pump in conjunction with the city water connection...this was great, we could actually multi task (shower and do dishes at the same time).

With all this being said, I cannot imagine the stock water pump is the best in class...if I am going to continue doing this, I need an idea for the replacement pump...I want to be ready for when, not if, it fails...

Also, you smart wise folks..if you have another way to increase water pressure from the hose bib to the trailer, that would be great...my initial thoughts were an accumulator tank 10-15 gallons), but not quite sure if that was going to get me to my desired end state...

The accumulator tank was designed to limit cycling of the water pump when limited amount of water is used. Mine didn't really make a difference in pressure. As you have discovered running the pump in Conjunction with exisisting water source does help. My oem pump went out in less than a year of purchase. I went with a shure flow.. been satisfied with its performance.

Also, does the 3950 have a single water pump. Standing in the back bathroom, it sure sounds like there is a pump back there when using the water....

Cale - yes, single pump. I put a Sureflo in mine as well. Can't recall the model without looking. Threw the OEM one in my boonie box as a spare. I also almost installed an accumulator tank in my last rig but that was only because of the sound of the pump at night if someone used the toilet while dry camping. Got the Voltage and no need as this Sureflo is very quiet.

Shurflo 4008 is what I replaced my OEM with that started to leak while still under warranty.

I have the shurflow 4008 as well and am happy with it. I also installed the shurflow 182-200 accumulator. I would not waist the money or time on the accumulator. The directions on the pump clearly states that it is not needed, and it really doesn't provide much in the cycling of the pump.
